He followed up his tweet with posting the Planet Magazine cover that did make its way into Suicide Squad #9, so fans of the series could compare the two.

The Flash Offers [SPOILER] a SHOCKING Bright New Future

Image
As the Flash and the Reverse-Flash engage in their final race, the surprise outcome has one major figure get an unexpected second chance. (WARNING : The following contains spoilers for The Flash #762, by Joshua Williamson, Howard Porter, Hi-Fi and Steve Wands, on sale now.) Long before he was the Flash's greatest enemy, the Reverse-Flash was Barry Allen's biggest fan. Growing up in the 25th century, Eobard Thawne idolized the Scarlet Speedster and sought to become just like him, going as far as to obtain a Flash Ring with a spare costume and unlock the secrets of super-speed for himself. However, after the two speedsters met and Thawne was exposed as a fraud, the time-traveling villain became Barry's most hated foe as he changed history to cause every major tragedy in the Flash's life. And as the two lifelong enemies embark on their last race against one another, the Scarlet Speedster has extended a surprise offer to Eobard by giving him the bright future he had long ab

Catwoman Sets Up Selina Kyle's Devious New Mission

Image
Selina makes a big move in Catwoman #25 that could secure her future in Alleytown. Is she being altruistic or something else? (Warning: The following contains spoilers for Catwoman #25 by Ram V, John Paul Leon, FCO Plascencia, and Ariana Maher, on sale now.) Selina Kyle is thinking big in Catwoman #25. In the story, "Return to Alleytown," Catwoman makes a trip to her hometown and after a run-in with some local kids, she decides she can help them while also helping herself. What Catwoman winds up doing sets herself up to be a future Queen of Crime in Alleytown. She might not exactly be a philanthropist, but she's also not a narcissistic sociopath. Catwoman has been robbing the streets of Gotham since 1940 in Batman #1. Created by Bob Kane and Bill Finger, Selina Kyle was originally designed to be a supervillain for Batman but has since evolved into a kind of antiheroine and love interest for Bruce Wayne. Selina was a troubled kid with neglectful parents who wound up in an

Supergirl Is the Death of Superman's Forgotten Hero.

Image
The Death of Superman impacted the entire DC Universe, but one of the story's most unsung heroes was a radically different Supergirl. One of the biggest comic book events in DC history is "The Death of Superman," which was launched in 1992 with the rotating team of writers and artists throughout all of DC's Superman comic book series at the time. With the Man of Steel's demise at the hands of Doomsday would send shockwaves throughout the DC Universe for months to follow, many heroes would step up to fill the void that the fallen icon had left behind. And while there would be four figures that directly attempted to carry on the legacy of Superman in their own way, the most unsung hero from the storyline was its incarnation of Supergirl. In the immediate aftermath of Crisis on Infinite Earths, Kal-El was retconned as the only apparent survivor from his home planet's destruction, truly living up his nickname as the Last Son of Krypton. Different iterations of pas

Batman Shows the DCAU Jason Todd Why Tim Drake Deserves to Be Robin.

Image
Jason Todd was never cut out to be Robin, but he learns exactly why Tim Drake is perfect for the role in Batman: The Adventures Continue #12. (WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Batman: The Adventures Continue #12 by Alan Burnett and Paul Dini, Ty Templeton, Monica Kubina and Josh Reed, on sale now.) The Robins seem to have a lot in common on the surface. Their careers as crimefighters usually stem from tragedy; Dick Grayson's parents were killed and Jason Todd grew up as an orphan. Tim Drake is an exception to this rule, in his childhood, his parents were absent most of the time, but at least they were alive. Still, in Batman: The Adventures Continue #12, Tim compares himself to Jason; he points out how both of them took the Robin costume, even after Batman rejected them, so they could fight criminals and make a difference. While Alfred agrees that all Robins share a common background, he's quick to show Tim that, at heart, he's nothing like Jason.

How Untold Tales of Spider-Man Filled in Peter Parker's History.

Image
Untold Tales of Spider-Man filled in big gaps in Peter Parker's history -- but not all of its stories are still relevant. No matter how much Spider-Man grows up, storytellers keep finding new ways to explore his high school years. Be it the Spider-Man: Chapter One line or Ultimate Spider-Man comic run, high school is a vulnerable era in Peter Parker's life, where many fans first fell in love with the character. Untold Tales of Spider-Man filled in lots of the gaps in his history. Across 26 regular issues and two annual issues, Untold Tales of Spider-Man tried to fill in the gaps between Amazing Fantasy #15 and the early issues of Amazing Spider-Man. Each issue sold for just 99 cents and the overall line was aimed at a younger demographic than other Spidey titles. The series was primarily written by Kurt Busiek and drawn by Pat Olliffe, with other talents coming in to contribute from time to time.

X-Force Reveals the TERRIFYING Power.

Image
X-Force just saw enemies of Krakoa gain access to the X-Men's secret weapon, and they're getting ready to unleash its immense power against Krakoa. (WARNING: The following contains spoilers for X-Force #12 by Benjamin Percy, Bazaldua, Guru-eFX, Tom Muller, & VC's Joe Caramagna, on sale now.) The next major X-Men crossover is coming with X of Swords, and it looks like things are about to get rough for the mutants in Krakoa. But before that starts, X-Force is about to learn how powerful the Cerebro Sword is. In the most recent issues of the series, Mikhail Rasputin, the brother of X-Men member Colossus, was able to steal the sword thanks to invaders allowed into Krakoa. One of them ran loose in Krakoa, stole the sword, and then stabbed Kid Omega, pushing him through a portal.

Iron Man Just Knocked Out a Herald of Galactus All by Himself.

Image
Iron Man's new series kicks off with a bang, and the armored Avenger's full power is put on display, easily dispatching a Herald of Galactus. (WARNING: The following article contains spoilers for Iron Man #1 by Christopher Cantwell, CAFU, Frank D'Armata and VC's Joe Caramagna, on sale now.) Iron Man isn't generally considered one of the Avengers' heavy-hitters. Although the armored Avenger has created some powerful suits over the years, Tony Stark's true power has always been his genius intellect. Recently, however, Stark performed an impressive feat of strength: single-handedly defeating Terrax the Tamer. In the beginning of Iron Man #1, Stark crashes through a glass window with Terrax firmly in hand. Stark seems to have the battle well under control. Indeed, as Iron Man continues to shove Terrax through several buildings, he even has the time to multitask.

Batman: A BRUTAL Fight Shows Why [SPOILER] Is Ready to Return to Gotham.

Image
Batman and the Outsiders #16 just showed why one Gotham Knight is ready to return to Gotham City with a brutal fight. ( WARNING: The following contains spoilers for Batman & the Outsiders #16, by Bryan Hill, Dexter Soy, Veronica Gandini and Clayton Cowles, available now. ) In the DC Universe, Batman's Robins have always had quite a few different labels. Dick Grayson's usually seen as the most reliable, Jason Todd is considered the most rebellious, Tim Drake is the smartest detective and Damian Wayne may well be the deadliest. But in battle, the most brutal has always been Cassandra Cain. Given her assassin's background, Cassandra Cain has struggled with the urge to kill, arguably even more than Damian. And for a while, Bruce tried to refine her out of being a weapon. As his most brutal junior, it seems Batman and the Outsiders #16 may have just paved the way for her return to Gotham, possibly as Batgirl, thanks to an epic beatdown.

Iron Man: Tony Stark Is Copying Steve Rogers' Playbook.

Image
Iron Man's latest series is taking the armored Avenger back to basics. Stark's tactics seem oddly similar to a certain star-spangled teammate's. (Warning: The following article contains spoilers for Iron Man #1, by Christopher Cantwell, Cafu, Frank D'Armata and VC's Joe Caramagna, on sale now.) The most recent Iron Man series is taking Tony Stark back to basics. From the classic armor to Stark's fundamental way of life, Iron Man is being stripped down to his essential components.  Much of Tony's fresh start is reminiscent of Captain America's post-Secret Empire status-quo. In the beginning of Iron Man #1, by Christopher Cantwell and Cafu, Tony fights and defeats Terrax, a former herald of Galactus. Simultaneously, the armored Avenger sells his shares and exits the board of Stark Unlimited, leaving his own company. After the battle, Stark attempts to share his success on Twitter, to which people respond by complaining about how Iron Man destroyed a satell

Superman: How DC's First Hero Became a Black Lantern

Image
While the original Superman is no longer active in the pages of DC comics, he had a very eventful life and then death as he unwittingly became a member of the Black Lantern Corps. While the current iteration of Superman running around in the pages of DC comics is widely recognized as the main Superman, he is not the same Superman who first appeared in Jerry Siegel and Joe Shuster's Action Comics #1. That distinction belongs to Kal-L, the Superman of Earth-Two. Kal-L is the Superman from the Golden Age of comics before the idea of a multiverse was established in the Silver Age, allowing both Supermen to operate separately. While the two Supermen have similar origins, Kal-L eventually grew into an older man and mostly ceased heroics, unlike his Earth-One counterpart who has remained young and consistently operated as Superman.

Marvel's Thor #7 Reveals Tony Stark's Real-World Phone Number - And It Works.

Image
Thor's hammer Mjolnir has Iron Man's name and phone number chiseled into it in an image in Thor #7, and fans are invited to take advantage of it. Iron Man appears to have been on the receiving end of a prank in Thor #7, released today. The issue contains an unusual depiction of Thor's famous hammer, Mjolnir, engraved with the words "Call Tony Stark" and a ten-digit phone number. However, it's not just Tony's in-universe fans and trolls who can take advantage of the opportunity to give him a call. The number, which has a New York area code, is valid in the real world too. Marvel's official website has taken the liberty of pointing it out and inviting readers to dial in.

Galactus: The Marvel God REALLY Isn't as Powerful as He Should Be.

Image
Galactus, Marvel's giant-size world-devourer isn't as strong as he used to be, and he's been taken down in several recent Marvel stories. ( Warning  : The following contains spoilers for Marvel Zombies: Resurrection #1 by Phillip Kennedy Johnson, Leonard Kirk, Rachelle Rosenberg, and VC's Travis Lanham;  Thor #6 by Donny Cates, Nic Klein, Matt Wilson, and VC's Joe Sabino; and Fantastic Four: Antithesis #1 by Mark Waid, Neal Adams, Mark Farmer, Laura Martin, and VC's Joe Caramagna, all on sale now.) The Marvel Zombies are back with Marvel Zombies: Resurrection, and this series has some key differences from the original Marvel Zombies world. However, one plot point remains the same in the newest world of Marvel's undead: Galactus met a messy end in the conflict. While he was eaten by the unliving in the original Marvel Zombies world, this timeline sees his body is found floating in space and becomes the point of origin for the zombie infestation, and that'

Eternals: Marvel Teases Thanos' Major Role in Gillen and Ribić's Relaunch.

Image
Ribić promises to reveal the role the Mad Titan Thanos will play in the relaunch of the Marvel Comics series. The Mad Titan Thanos is set to play a major role in Kieron Gillen and Esad Ribić's Eternals relaunch, with the Marvel Cinematic Universe villain battling Ikaris in Eternals #2. Thanos recently returned from the dead in Donny Cates and Geoff Shaw's Guardians of the Galaxy #6. However, this isn't the same Thanos that readers are most familiar with. The Mad Titan was revived using the body of his brother, Eros aka Starfox. Guardians' Star-Lord and Gamora were able to stop the transfer process midway, leaving Thanos a walking zombie. What state Eternals #2 shows Thanos remains to be seen. The villain was originally killed by Gamora in the Marvel event series, Infinity Wars. (Check Our Our YouTube Channel)

X-Men: [SPOILER] Is Back With a BOLD New Motto.

Image
An iconic member of the X-Men is back in action, and they have a brand new motto that's bad news for one of Marvel's most vile mutants. ( WARNING : The following contains spoilers for Marauders #12, by Gerry Duggan, Stefano Caselli, Edgar Delgado & VC's Cory Petit, on sale now) One of the most beloved members of the X-Men has always been Kitty Pryde. However, when she returned from the dead in the pages of Marauders, she had a very different outlook than the young teenager who was always trying to find herself. As Storm said, the little girl that once tried to abandon her because of a haircut has grown up and gotten knuckle tats. Kitty is now Kate Pryde, the Red Queen of the Hellfire Trading Company, and someone with a new motto spelled out via her new knuckle tats: "Kill Shaw."
